B.C.'s Medical Services Plan pays doctors for whatever work they do that is covered by the plan -- so you don't have to.  To find out how much the MSP paid to your doctor in 2012, search for your doctor below. Doctors are listed on the pulldown menu. Once that menu is open, you can find the doctor faster by typing the first letter in his or her last name.

Million-dollar doctors: Rising payments have B.C. government determined to save $230 million
he B.C. government is looking to reduce the amount it pays doctors, with close to 100 medicos now in the million-dollar-and-over club. Latest figures show B.C. expects to pay physicians $3.89 billion in service fees in 2012-13 - an increase of $13 million over the previous financial year and an expense that accounts for almost a quarter of the ministry's budget. On top of the pay heap are ophthalmologists. All doctors in B.C. billing over $2 million in 2011-12 were ophthalmologists.
