Stimulating the economy has local politicians heading back to class. The Regional District of North Okanagan board agreed
Wednesday to partner with the City of Vernon to host an economic development workshop for area officials. "It's for the whole region," said chairperson Patrick Nicol. The city decided to organize a workshop because a
similar session sponsored by the provincial government wasn't coming to
the North Okanagan. The May 10 event will be conducted by the Economic Development Association of B.C. "We want to make it North Okanagan focused," said Kevin
Poole, Vernon's economic development manager, adding that some of the
topics will include industry, tourism and agriculture. The total cost for the workshop is $3,500, with RDNO providing $1,000. "This (funding) allows us to open it ip to the region," said Poole.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

Another committee or group to get together to design a horse and then end up with a camel.
What a waste of money!
