Two people are in Vernon hospital with non life threatening injuries after the crash of a flying car. "Maverick " is a Florida developed modified car with a large propeller at it's rear, road worthy, and flies with a para sail for lift. RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk says it took off from the Vernon airport before nine this morning. He says the pilot and a relative were aboard, "It had made a circle like it was going to approach , obviously something happened, they heard it from the airport, power up, and then it crashed into the trees by the creek " Vernon Resident, Ray Seibring, recently brought the fifth ever flying car to Canada as a prototype, and has been making test flights in the Okanagan.
