Another water main breaks in Vernon

A second water main has broken in Vernon, this time on Okanagan Avenue at 39th Street. Crews have isolated the break and are currently on scene and working to repair the pipe. The Regional District of the North Okanagan says there are approximately 40 homes without water and a portion of Okanagan Avenue is closed at this time. Crews do not know why the water main broke, and Greater Vernon Water thanks residents in advance for their cooperation. More information will be provided when it becomes available. The other water main break happened less than a week ago near the Vernon Art Gallery.
