Written by Peter McIntyre 107.5 KISSFM Wednesday, 11 December 2013 06:00
Transit service on Sundays will be expanded in Greater Vernon next year.Vernon council has approved $71,828 to allow the buses to run from 8 am to 7pm on Sundays, up from the current 11am to 5pm. Councillor Juliette Cunningham says it's what people have asked for."We've had people say they want it, because some people want to go to church or have to go to activities, work or Sunday shopping, so we have a lot of people who use transit," says Cunningham. Councillor Catherine Lord says the service could always be cut back, if they find it's not being well used. "Sometimes you implement these things, and after a year, you find not too many people are using it," says Lord
