Construction on the voter approved sports facility at Okanagan College has hit a frost barrier, and work has stopped until the spring. Regional District of North Okanagan parks planner Keith Pinkoski says they're finalizing the detailed designs over the winter, and will call tenders on more work next month. He says they'll have work under way as soon as the weather allows. "That will happen once the frost is gone on the site, and we'll make sure that it ties into our original schedule of opening in spring 2015," Pinkoski tells Kiss FM. The 7.5 million dollar project includes buildings, artificial turf playing fields, and an Olympic sized rubberized running track. "About 80 percent of the rough grading is done," says Pinkoski.
