Crystal Mountain won't open

by Bill Everitt CASTANET - Sep 13, 2014 / 2:58 pm
Crystal Mountain Ski Resort in West Kelowna just announced they will not be opening for the 2014/15 season. The announcement came on the resort's Facebook page at about 8 a.m. Saturday morning. "Thank you all for patiently waiting for an update from us. I'm sad to announce that the mountain will not be in operation for the upcoming 2014-2015 winter season," reads the post. Crystal Mountain's 2014 season was cut short when a chair lift collapsed, injuring several people. "But this is not a goodbye, we plan to be open for the 2015-2016 season. Season pass holders will receive their refund as promised. For questions, please message our Facebook page," the page says. More details to come.
