Mike Macnabb says he wants to continue to represent the interests of BX-Silver Star. He has filed nomination papers for a third term as Area C director in the Regional District of North Okanagan. "There are still issues I am interested in pushing along," he said. "The agricultural issue is huge for me. I'd like to see the agricultural profile raised. It makes a huge contribution to our economy. Let it help us go forward." Macnabb also wants to proceed with a review of parks in the North Okanagan. "I would like to see a full regional parks service explored. It would be everyone at the table," he said. Macnabb also wants to push for enhanced co-operation among all of the local jurisdictions. "I don't want to see Balkanization," he said, adding that there is also a need for RDNO to improve communications with the public. Macnabb has lived in Greater Vernon since the 1970s and is an engineering services consultant for vehicle performance.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
