Upper Room Mission Flooded

Vernon's Upper Room Mission has suffered a cold weather disaster. A pipe burst on the top floor last night in the 27th Avenue facility, triggering the sprinkler system and sending water through the main floor and into the basement. It's closed until further notice. The facility serves upwards of 300 meals a day to the disabled, seniors and the homeless.
