We're No. 22!

Vernon and Salmon Arm have made it on the list of the 36 best cities for work in the province. BC Business magazine looked at six economic indicators the magazine felt reflected the health of a city’s job market. These included five-year average household income change, average household income, average household income under 35, five-year populatio change, unemployment rate and percentage of households with university degrees. Vernon came in 22nd on the list with a score of 52.7, far behind Kelowna which was 11th. Salmon Arm was 30th choice with a score of 48.5 cent, one below Penticton. Only cities with more than 10,000 permanent residents were considered in the rankings.
