The public has a chance to give input into the new arena being added on to Kal Tire Place.

Four consultation sessions will be held by the City of Vernon and MQN Architects around the area starting next Wednesday (June 1) at Lakers Club House in Okanagan Landing from 1 to 2:30. There's also sessions in Coldstream, BX and at Kal Tire Place with the full list on the Kiss FM website.

Recreation Services Director Doug Ross says there will be no parameters for the input. "There are some things that are already set in stone as far as the orientation of the building, the number of seats and the size of the ice, but there will be lots of other considerations and we'll be happy to hear what people ave to say," Ross tells Kiss FM. Ross says invitations have been sent to user groups and stakeholders, and the general public is also welcome to attend.

The 13 million dollar, 400 seat facility is expected to be completed by late 2018.It's being added onto the north end of the existing facility on 43rd Avenue.
