Five candidates are running for the vacant councllor seat on Armstrong council in a by election in November.
As of the deadline at 4pm Friday, these were the candidates:
Gary Froats, Spallumcheen
Helen Jackson, Armstrong
Adrien LeMaire, Armstrong
Gil Melin, Armstrong
Wayne Snider, Spallumcheen.
Election officer Sue Wood says the candidates have a week to decide if they want to withdraw, and the slate of hopefuls will be finalized October 24.The by-election is expected to be held Saturday November 19. A two year term needs to be filled, left vacant by the passing of councillor Ron (Sully) O'Sullivan on May 27th this year.
