Two Running For NDP

With just over two months until the May 9th provincial election, the NDP party has announced two candidates are seeking their nomination in Vernon Monashee. Vernon residents Barry Dorval and Harwinder Sandhu are running, with the nomination meeting set for the Vernon Elks Lodge at 1 pm March 12. Dorval is an English teacher at W.L. Seaton Secondary, while Sandhu is a nurse who has lived in Vernon since 2012. The winner will join incumbent Liberal MLA Eric Foster and the Green Party’s Keli Westgate in the race.
