The City of Vernon’s spokesperson is moving on. Tanya Laing Gahr has announced her last day as communications officer and grants coordinator with the City will be September 13. “On September 18, I begin work with Fortis BC as a communications advisor. It’s a big step career-wise and I’m looking forward to new challenges,” says Laing Gahr in an email to media. Laing Gahr has held the position for four years. “Until a new communications officer is hired, Patti Bridal, Director of Corporate Services, will be managing media inquiries,” says Laing Gahr.
