ASSAULT SUSPECT RELEASED

The Daily Courier , Vernon edition on Page A3 of this morning's paper is reporting the following:
________________________________________________
The Vernon RCMP arrested a man in connection with the sexual assault of a young teen over the weekend, but he has since been released. Cpl Henry Proce of the Vernon RCMP said the man was released because charges could not be laid against him. He said the man was a Vernon resident. "We made an arrest but the resident was subsequently released because there was not enough evidence to hold him," he said.

The investigation continues and the police are still looking for information from the public to locate the suspect in the sexual assault.
