The sewer project in Coldstream is expected to be completed by the end of this month.Mayor Gary Corner says the line is being extended along Kal Lake Road, to Aberdeen Road. Corner tells KISS FM, "I believe Coldstream Meadows is bringing the line down to meet that, in order to hook up their development. Those people that are between the bottom of Aberdeen and Coldstream Meadows, where the main line runs, will have an opportunity to hook uyp to that particular line."The project is costing $1.7 million, with Coldstream taxpayers footing 1.1 million, and the rest from Greater Vernon Services which is upgrading a water line in the area.An engineering consultant has estimated the cost per home to connect to the system could range from $1,500 to $20,000.Corner says the District will be putting together a financial package to make it as easy as possible for residents to hook- up to the system.
