Don't change priorities

Salmon Arm Councilor Kevin Flynn said he was in favor of just ignoring a letter concerning the crisis of physician resources and inadequate facilities at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.Flynn said the Interior Health Authority has a list of priorities, which he thinks is fair and adequate. ...."Shuswap Lake General Hospital has its spot in that prioritization as does Vernon Jubilee Hospital. What's happening is the Vernon physicians are trying to change that prioritization." Flynn said Salmon Arm doctors could write the same type of letter saying Shuswap Lake General hospital is in crisis, but without sitting down with all the hospital districts, it wasn't fair to look at only one situation.Council took no action on the letter.
