Sean Harvey is back in court today. He is appearing in a Salmon Arm courtroom for what court officials say is a bail hearing. The former Mayor of Vernon was arrested at his place of work in Salmon Arm around 5pm yesterday for allegedly breaching his conditional sentence. Harvey had been order under house arrest and to pay restitution for the thousands of dollars in personal charges he made to the city credit card while mayor.
An investigation began earlier this week after it was reported to RCMP that Harvey had been seen shopping at a store in Kelowna on Dec. 29th. Harvey remains in police custody though no charges have been laid. There will be a judicial review of his conditional sentence.
