Sean Harvey has been arrested after allegedly not adhering to the terms of his conditional sentence. The former Vernon mayor appeared in Salmon Arm court today for what court officials say is a bail hearing. Harvey was arrested at his place of work in Salmon Arm Monday afternoon for allegedly breaching his conditional sentence.

Probation officials began an investigation earlier this week after it was reported Harvey was seen shopping at a Kelowna store on December 29th.RCMP Sargeant Eric Castle says there are no charges against Harvey but a judicial review of his sentence will be held to determine if he committed a breach. The former mayor was held in police custody Monday night.

The 36 year old had been under house arrest after pleading guilty to breach of trust last August.
He used his city credit card to rack up $13,000 in personal expenses while serving as mayor.

Update: Harvey appeared in court late Tuesday and was released from custody.
He will return to court next Tuesday. (Pete McIntyre)
