Women's shelter looks to remain open longer

The Women's shelter in Vernon is trying to secure funding to stay open an extra month. Annette Sharkey with the social planning council says women using the shelter have been asking for the extension into April. Sharkey says the shelter requires $9500 a month to operate and they're looking for funding help from both the provincial and federal governments.
