OTTAWA (CP) - The RCMP have arrested an employee at Environment Canada, alleging that he leaked the federal government's draft climate change legislation. In a statement, the Mounties say the male employee was arrested Wednesday for breach of trust under the Criminal Code. An Environment Canada spokeswoman says the employee's name is not being released by the department as the matter is under police investigation. Police say they received a complaint on April 17 that a secret draft copy of the climate change section of the government's Eco-Action Plan had been leaked. Lynn Brunette with Environment Canada says the complaint came from the department's deputy minister, Michael Horgan.
