  • UNFINISHED BUSINESS At the Regular meeting held on June 11, 2007, Mr. David N. Murphy, of Foxbridge Developments Ltd. spoke regarding the Tourist Accommodation Designations and Definitions. Mr. Murphy requested that Council revisit its position regarding dwellings defined as “Tourist Accommodation”, and discontinue its use. As an alternative, the R5 Zone and the Waterfront Plan was suggested for consideration.
  • THAT Council approves the funding source for the grant to the O’Keefe Ranch Society, in the amount of $114,000, be allocated from the Development Excess Revenue Reserve; AND FURTHER, that the O’Keefe Ranch Society be advised that this is a one time grant. P.85
  • RECONSIDERATION,WILLIAM MADDOX – ALR EXCLUSION APPLICATION FOR LOT 1, PLAN 6483, DL 68, O.D.Y.D. (2610 – O’KEEFE ROAD) (P. 89)
  • MONASHEE’S BAR & GRILL – LIQUOR LICENCE APPLICATION TO REVISE HOURS OF LIQUOR SALES (P.121)
  • EKISTICS TOWN PLANNING INC. – OCP AMENDMENT APPLICATION FOR 9650 EASTSIDE ROAD AND REZONING APPLICATION FOR 9609 and 9650 EASTSIDE ROAD (P. 145)
  • LIBRARY CIVIC COMPLEX FINANCING BYLAW (P. 219) THAT Council approves proceeding to three readings for the “Library and Civic Complex Loan Authorization Bylaw Number 5086, 2007”, which authorizes the borrowing of up to twenty million dollars ($20,000,000) repayable over a 25 year period, for the Library Civic Complex.
  • THAT Bylaw #5086, “Library and Civic Complex Loan Authorization Bylaw Number 5086, 2007” – a bylaw to authorize the Corporation of the City of Vernon to borrow the estimated cost of $20,000,000. over a 25 year period, for constructing a Library and Civic Complex, be read a first, second and third time. (P. 255)
  • THAT Council establishes that the thirty (30) day deadline, following last publication notice on July 15 , 2007, for receiving Elector Response forms in regards to the “Library and Civic Complex Loan Authorization Bylaw Number 5086, 2007” is Wednesday, August 15 , 2007, at 4:30 pm; AND FURTHER, that Council approves the determination of the total number of electors to which the approval process applies is 27,772; AND FURTHER, that Council determines that 10% of the electors is 2,777 and that the City Clerk must determine and certify, at the end of the 30 day Alternate Approval period, the total elector responses received and that determination is final and conclusive.
