Property Tax Deferment is a low interest loan program that assists qualifying BC homeowners in paying the annual property taxes on their homes. Presently 11,000 households defer property taxes under the program, which began in 1974.

The INTEREST RATE REGULATION for the Land Tax Deferment Act - effective April 1, 2006 has now been deposited. The interest rate for the period April 1, 2007 to September 30, 2007 is 4%.
