Vernon RCMP are on the lookout for a man they consider armed and dangerous. A warrant has been issued for David Aeichele, 26, of Vernon after an incident involving gunfire early Thursday evening. Police say shots followed an altercation at a home in the 1800 block of 33rd Street. Apparently, a male attempted to flee the area when a second man ran towards the vehicle and fired a single shot into the vehicle. RCMP say the suspect had words with a nearby witness as he was heading towards his mother's house. Once inside, he allegedly fired a second shot through a wall that entered the witnesses residence. Police say the suspect then fled in his vehicle. He is believed to have taken the handgun as well. The vehicle is described as an older model silver Ford Mustang Shelby. Police say anyone encountering Aeichele should not try to confront him, but instead, should call 9-1-1 immediately.
