The regional district is running out of room at its current office on Aberdeen Road in Coldstream. An expansion is being recommended by staff, and the NORD board has given approval for designs and cost estimates to be drawn up.Chairman Jerry Oglow says the staff is currently working out of two buildings."One of those we own and the other we lease (downtown in Community Futures/GVSC building). The cost of leasing is rising but beyond that there is significant merit in putting all staff under one roof."Administrator Brian Reardon says there would be a number of options to finance the expansion, which depending on the cost, may require a referendum, or alternate approval process.
