• REQUEST FOR ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE FROM NORD (P. 119) (vii) THAT Council supports the recommendation from the Vernon Airport Advisory Committee that Council requests NORD to provide 10-20% of the net expenditures of the Vernon Airport, as part of the Regional Economic Development Function, for the 2008 Budget year.

  (viii) THAT Council supports the recommendation from the Vernon Airport Advisory Committee that Council approves a press release be issued regarding Airport Manager,
  Grahame Go’s BC Aviation Council award presentation on November 26, 2007, in Vancouver, BC;
  
• 2008 VERNON WINTER CARNIVAL – REQUEST FOR USE OF VERON AIRPORT
  AND MARSHALL FIELD (P. 123)
  (ix) THAT Council supports the recommendation from the Vernon Airport Advisory Committee that Council approves that the Vernon Airport be used for the purposes of the
  Vernon 2008 Winter Carnival as requested from the Vernon 2008 Winter Carnival Society for a Family Fun Day on February 10, 2008 AND FURTHER, that permission to have fireworks at Marshall Fields as part of their closing ceremonies on February 10, 2007 be approved;
  
• OKANAGAN REGIONAL LIBRARY REQUEST FOR FUNDING (P. 125) (x) THAT Council supports the recommendation from the Finance Committee that Council approves the request for funding from the Okanagan Regional Library for $9,240.00 for tables and chairs, from the Library Shelving Reserve Fund in the 2008 Budget.
