Two companies are interested in developing the Bennett parking lot site in downtown Vernon.
The city has received expressions of interest from Plainsman Companies of Kamloops and from MKT Arkle Development of Vancouver. The next step will be for the city's land advisory committee to interview the two firms and then offer an option to the best one for purchase of the property.The Vernon Medical Clinic has agreed to move to that site, while the Elks and Legion are potential tenants.
