NORD Must Rush to appoint 4th member to Super Regional Committee to make Monday's meeting.

This report of a change in meeting date was in error. The original meeting date of Nov. 26 is in effect in Kelowna. Time and location not yet announced that I can see.

Original Posting:

The committee looking into the Okanagan's governance options, will be growing in size. Community Service Minister Ida Chong has approved adding the mayors of Kelowna and Penticton to the committee that will increase to 12 members. The North Okanagan Regional District will appoint a fourth representative as Vernon mayor Wayne Lippert is already a member. The committee meets again on November 29-th.

Coun. Gilroy or Cunningham to be appointed to Super Regional Committee appointment ?

At the post above you will see my speculation on why the above 2 candidates are the only eligible options. Unless the meeting is at the nighttime Acting Mayor Beardsell will be chairing the Council meetings if Mayor Lippert is obliged to attend the other meetings in the daytime hours. Should be interesting.
