New Sergeant at Vernon Detachment

Pete McIntyre 107.5 KISS FM

The Vernon RCMP has filled a key position that had been vacant for the last year. Staff Sargeant Cam Percy becomes the number two officer in charge behind Inspector Steve McVarnock."It presents some interesting challenges so I'm working forward to that. I very much enjoyed the job I was doing up until this point. I am going to oversee the operations for the municipal policing side of the detachment."Percy got the promotion after spending the last three years in charge of the plain clothes section. He says drug-related activity continues to be the city's number one problem, and enforcement of those crimes, will remain a top priority.
