O’Keefe Ranch Task Force 4:00 pm Kalamalka Lake Room
This is the first meeting of this Committee to try and figure out the future of the O'Keefe Ranc. Last year Vernon Taxpayers Contributed $89,458 through NORD and a much larger sum directly as a one time grant. Our Nord Partners have bailed out directly and this is no longer a function of NORD. Consequently your NORD taxes in Vernon are only going up 6.9% instead of the 7.95% if this had remained a function. (sarcasm intended)
However the Vernon taxpayer will now have to step up to the plate and cover a much larger sum to keep this Valuable Tourist and Heritage Attraction going. I am sure that the City will have their Grants Employee seconded to this new effort and will apply for all grants possible. There is a small Grant of $10,000 available under:
The BC150 Mosaic Grant Application 2008 is now online. [PDF]
The total funding available under the one-time BC150 Grant is $200,000, with the intention to provide up to $10,000.00 per project deemed successful through a grant application process. Applicants are encouraged to apply for project costs that do not exceed $10,000.00. Applications must be hand delivered or couriered, no later than 2:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Feb. 15, 2008,
