10-digit dialing is just around the corner in the region. Growing demand for phone numbers in BC and Alberta means that people will now have to dial 10 digits for local calls, by adding the area code. Telus representative Shawn Hall says to meet the growth we'll have a new area code starting in September....7-7-8.Hall says there will be a 'grace period' starting in June to help us get used to the change.
