THAT the letter from the Regional District of North Okanagan, dated March 18, 2008, regarding Starling Control Program Grant Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2299, 2008, be received;
AND THAT staff be directed to forward the District’s portion of the cost for the 2008 Starling Control Program, that being $3,332.00, directly to the BC Grapegrowers’ Association at 451 Atwood Road, Grand Forks, BC, V0H 1H9, for this year only.

Vernon's share will be
more than $13,000. This compares to the S.I.R. program where Vernon's share is in excess of $205,000. The average house in 2008 in Vernon will pay $9.67 to deball those little critters of the male persuasion. These MothBalls can be sold for $5.67 a package although the SIR program doesn't appear to have realized this yet as they show no revenue for this valuable product in their financial statements.
