Council will give final reading to a new DCC Rate structure that was approved by the Provincial Inspector of Municipalities on May 28, 2008.
This is the first step in a complete DCC review. $100,000 has been put inside in the 2008 budget to proceed with a full review of the DCC policy and schedules. This will look to the OCP for inclusion of different area or sector DCC's, Inclusion of other roads and sewer projects and the allocation of cost between the taxpayer and the development community and any other possible improvements.
These rates will take effect when this bylaw receives final formal reading and approval.
