Vernon's MLA says there will be a system in place to ensure a private public partnership doesn't erode health care at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Concerns were raised this week by VJH employee Jeet Dukhia that having a large consortium in charge of the upcoming expansion, is designed for profit, and will be a disaster. MLA Tom Christensen tells KISS FM audits will ensure the standards are being met. "And what those audits have proven is facilities that are being maintained through a P-3 model are operating at the same standards as other facilities that are operating under the more traditional models." Christensen says the P-3's used in Abbotsford and Vancouver health care projects have been positive, and have provided excellent value for taxpayers dollars.

Christensen -why not tell the truth? We have all seen the tv reports on some of these private facilities. Then there is the question of how often the audits are done. What does he have to say about audits on the highways contractors-an issue that has been raised at Vernon city council and at Nord-nothing. It is time for him to go,he simply is not representing us.

Tom Christenson is a glaring example of what is wrong with our political system
Small self appointed groups in each community decide who will be the name to put before the voters at election time
So we end up with people who have very little connection to the community at large and who represent the narrow interests
Come the next provincial election we shall ensure Mr Christensen is back at his law office because this community is at its wits end Re the crass comments that keep coming from the MLA's office literally on every issue of concern starting with HEALTHCARE!

He talks about audits and how greta P3s are but continues to stonewall Re THE FACTS OF OVERRUNS THAT ARE CONTINUOUSLY BEING PASSED ON TO TAXPAYERS!
MEANWHILE THE CODE PURPLES AND THE THIRD WORLD CONDITIONS ARE A DAILY FACT OF LIFE AT THE VERNON JUBILEE HOSPITAL!!
Perhaps Mr Christenson will explain to us how it is that Fraser Valley Health will be unable to balance its budget because of the running costs of its hospital that was built according to a P3 formula??!!
Is that what he calls "value'??
Christensen-what will you tell your family at a later date as to what you did for Vernon until you were thrown out in 2009 for not standing up for your constituents?
