A garbage collection firm is getting dumped on by the City of Vernon. The city plans to seek a court injunction against Kelowna-based Waste Management to prevent them from starting to pick-up garbage before 7 a.m. The city says it has received numerous complaints about the company’s trucks picking up trash starting as early as 5:30 a.m. “We have had multiple discussions with the route manager who assured us the issue would be addressed, but the problem is still occurring,” said Clint Kanester, the City of Vernon’s manager of bylaw services. “We have decided that probably the best course of action is to involve the lawyers, so we’re going that route. “It makes the most sense as far as effiency and taxpayer costs.” The city has tried to issue the firm a bylaw ticket but have had problems catching one of the company’s trucks. Officials from Waste Management could not be reached for comment.

Have they ever attempted to have a process server deliver it to that company's Kelowna address or that company's lawyer? Another example of bureaucrats who can't think their way out of a paper bag.
