Two years ago to the week that Polson Park's historic Grandstand went up in flames, comes word the insurance has been settled. Greater Vernon Services Chair Gary Corner says it's unlikely the nearly one hundred year -old grandstand will be rebuilt. "I've always said over the past few years Polson Park needs some sort of upgrading to it. I think it needs some improvements done to it and it's a matter of looking back to the design we had done at one time and seeing if it still fits today's park." Corner isn't saying how much is being paid out but early figures have estimated the loss to be 600 thousand dollars.
