Don Quixote Note: This Aug 5 report will be presented to City Council at the COW meeting on Monday at 8:40. The thing that caught my eye was the comment about the successful completion of a new Collective Agreement:
Further to the statistics provided in the compiled reports, the following initiatives or
significant incidents occurred in the second quarter:
- Successful completion and signing of a new Collective Agreement
Now that the salaries are known it will be interesting to see how much of the reserve that was set up (Formerly the Fringe Load Variance Reserve now renamed the Salary Reserve) that contains $290,000 (after the $200,000 Appropriated for the 2008 budget) will be needed to cover this agreement? or Perhaps there will be a return of some of the $200,000 used in 2008 to this reserve as the settlement was over-estimated ?
We should get some answers on Monday at COW meeting ??
