Some suggestions are:
- A fund for the purchase of gifts for visiting dignitaries
- Assist with funding shower facilities for staff at City Hall
- improvements to the staff lunch room
Don Quixote Note: Details of the SILGA Conference including the Revenue and expenses that netted the $10,000 return to the City can be found at P.34 to P.40 of the Agenda Package - 2.08MB at the City's website. As every Accredited City Participant who was authorized at the conference was charged a minimum of $290 (Not including other activities such as Golf or extra banquet) and this was paid for by the City on behalf of the taxpayers, perhaps this should be accounted for and deducted from the $10,000 before this unexpected surplus is sliced and diced.
To help the City Council in dividing up this money I have posted a Poll that will close on Monday morning at 7 am so you can give an opinion on what should be done with this money. (Add a comment if your choice is other than what is in poll.)
