The city of Vernon is moving towards entering a partnership for responsible gambling with the BC Lottery Corporation.Councillor Barry Beardsell says, it's not clear on whether the fifty thousand dollars from the program would be a one time or annual contribution from the BCLC. "There's still a lot of answered questions that I have and questions that I've put forth to Kamloops, and they're just not forthcoming with the answers."Beardsell maintains there's too much money being pocketed by the casino in Vernon and not enough return.He says, he's pushing for casino funds to help the O'Keefe Ranch and the Schubert Centre.
