Shots fired in Vernon neighbourhood

Vernon Police are investigating a report of shots fired in the area of Pleasant Valley Road and 48th Avenue. RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk, says police were told two vehicles were involved. "The person who called police said a window was shot out of one of the vehicles and that both vehicles involved took off from the area right away," says Molendyk. "At this time, police remain on the scene and are speaking to witnesses." Molendyk says there are no reports of injuries at the present time, he says police don't know which direction the vehicles headed. "We are attempting to get more information of the vehicles involved by speaking to anyone who might have witnessed the shooting."
