Enderby, Vernon - Enderby RCMP called to another possible victim of an avalanche

At approx 1:10 PM today the RCMP was notified of an Emergency locator beacon signaling from the area of Mara Mountain north-east of Enderby BC.A short time later two snowmobilers made contact with people away from the area. The two advised that they had been involved in an avalanche. They were able to get out but they had to leave one of their companions behind.
Currently the Search and Rescue group from Salmon Arm has been contacted and they are sending two avalanche technicians’ and one search manager to assist the police in the search. They are expected to fly into the area and asses the scene to determine if it is safe to continue with the search for the missing person.At the time of this release the police are not releasing any information as to the age, sex or area the missing person is from.It is expected the update on this incident will be later tomorrow morning.
