Grow op found on Trinity Valley Road

CASTANET:
From a shooting to an alleged assault to a grow op, a property in the North Okanagan has had a lot to offer police over the last week. For the second time in a week, RCMP in the North Okanagan have been busy at a residence in the 2000 block of Trinity Valley Road. Enderby RCMP first attended the rural residence Wednesday to investigate a reported shooting which sent one man to hospital. "Initial information is that the two individuals were on a rural property in the Trinity Valley area of Enderby when an altercation ensued and led to the male being shot and the female suffering injuries from an assault," says RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk. He says officers returned to the property Thursday with a search warrant to take down a grow op they discovered during the shooting investigation. “Over 2,000 plants, two generators, air conditioners and assorted equipment was seized. Five people were arrested, four men and one woman.” Molendyk says charges of cultivation are expected to be laid.

“Police are continuing to investigate the shooting case. The victim remains in hospital, he underwent further surgery this weekend. The police have not been able to interview him because of his medical condition.” He says the woman involved in the shooting, identified as 47-year-old Lorilee Toole, is expected to appear in Salmon Arm court Monday to answer to two firearms related charges
