Ranch Plan

Starlee Speers - Vernon 105.7 SUNFM

Board Members on the O'Keefe Ranch society spent this past Saturday brainstorming new possibilities for revenue. Board members believe they've come up with a plan to make the historic North Okanagan property more viable. Society President Rod Drennan says they're going to have more programming, including a Cowboy dinner theatre every Friday night during the summer. He says they're going to look at outside sources of funding like more corporate sponsors. Drennan says they're hopeful the plan will make the ranch less dependant on local taxpayers but adds the site is always going to need public subsidizing. He says a job posting for replacing former Ranch manager Tom Danyk will go out this week.
