The hunt's on for a sex attacker in Vernon. Police say overnight Monday-Tuesday a middle aged woman was approached in the downtown and asked for help with a map. She was then forced into a van, driven a short distance and sexually assaulted. It happened in the 30th avenue-35th street area and police want anyone who saw an older white cargo style van to contact them. It's the sort with no windows in back, a sliding door on the right side. It had no roof rack. The suspect's a white 30ish man, about 5'10" or 5' 8",around 170 pounds. He has light brown hair in a brush cut.
