An interesting home-preservation project was uncovered by Prince George RCMP officers during a traffic stop Wednesday. At about 1:30 p.m. police noticed a vehicle that piqued their interest and ran its license plate. Officers found that the vehicle "was the subject of some enforcement action by ICBC," according to a news release. Officers stopped the vehicle on Highway 16 West near Ferry Avenue, where the driver gave fake ID and was arrested for impersonation.
The vehicle was searched and officers found two cardboard boxes of quart-sized canning jars that were full of marijuana buds. Two men were arrested under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and could face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
