The dispute over Greater Vernon water has been thrown into the lap of BC's Minister of Community and Rural Development. Mayor Wayne Lippert and senior members of city staff met Thursday with the minister, Bill Bennett, on the fringes of the UBCM meeting in Vancouver. Lippert says the ongoing jurisdictional battle over water has to end and he has urged Bennett to get involved. Bennett has promised to report back to the city ``soon''.
