Funtastic Provides $25,000 For Groups

The second year of the Funtastic Community Grant program is underway for 2010. Executive director Jim McEwan says they've put up another bunch of cash. He tells KISS FM, "We've put $25,000 aside for the community grant program again this year for the local non profit organizations." In its first year, 42 organizations shared in that amount, benefiting everything from playgrounds to Teen Junction. McEwan says, "Last year for example, Kindale Development needed money for a Trail Rider, so they applied and we're awarded a grant."
