Police say cocaine sales are common in Vernon--- but it's somewhat rare to see heroin. Sgt. Dave Evans says a man arrested on the weekend at 32nd Street and 39th Ave was found with four portions of heroin, and even more coke. "25 individual portions at a half gram each equates to the possibility of this person selling these drugs to 25 different people. A half gram is a really common portion for street level users to purchase." Evans says heroin is not as prevalent in Vernon as crack and powdered cocaine but they do come across it.A trafficking charge has been laid against a 23 year old Coldstream man. He's been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
