The Board and Staff of the Historic O’Keefe Ranch are pleased to welcome Alicia Kay to the Ranch as the Events/Volunteer Coordinator. Kay brings with her a Business Administration Degree majoring in Marketing and has an extensive background in event coordination. Kay gained a large part of her event experience as Events/Marketing Manager for the Downtown Vernon Association, from 2004 to 2007, planning and organizing such events as the Sunshine Festival, and the “Dek the Park” fundraising campaign. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Vernon Chamber of Commerce, and has built strong relationships within the community. Kay will be promoting the Ranch as a venue for numerous events and as a rewarding place to volunteer. The Ranch is looking forward to a season of new and exciting events, utilizing her fresh outlook and extensive marketing and promotion skills. Kay says, “I am very excited to be back doing what I am passionate about, events, marketing, volunteers, and my community.”
The ranch is using the off-season months to work on new events as well as working on some of the old favorites. Their official opening day is May 9, Mothers Day. Also, they will be bringing back some of the events that haven’t been at the O’Keefe Ranch for awhile. The MOPARS will be coming back this year in June, they are working on bringing back the Vintage Motorcycle event, and they are currently working with many other organizations and groups to ensure the Ranch stays vibrant and active throughout the entire season.
