A consultant's report on what caused the massive contamination of drinking water in Coldstream and Lavington earlier this year has been completed. It's expected to be in the hands of North Okanagan Regional District officials within weeks. However, the district's general manager of engineering says it won't be made public right away. Arnold Badke says officials want to wait until a Ministry of Environment investigation concludes. Both reports will then be presented to the district board. He says the district has also complied with a Ministry order to ``seal'' an Antwerp Springs surface well. He says it's believed bacterial contamination leaked into that well and then leached into an adjacent well.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
